Poteet Insurance Agency was founded in 1982 by Carl Poteet, operating out of the family garage in Huffman, Texas. Originally focused on crop insurance for local farmers, the agency moved to its first office on FM 2100 a few years later and began building a reputation for personal service and lasting customer relationships.

In 1994, Carl’s daughter, Evette Poteet Isbell, joined the agency to assist with crop insurance, while his son, Patrick Poteet, joined to expand the agency into personal and commercial insurance. As the agency continued to grow, Evette transitioned into serving commercial and business insurance customers while maintaining our agricultural insurance roots. In 2014, Brenda Booth joined our family team, bringing her beaming customer service focus to our personal lines department.

For more than 44 years, Poteet Insurance Agency has remained deeply rooted in Huffman where we continue to serve the community and surrounding areas.   Our Agency represents numerous respected insurance carriers, including many A-rated companies, allowing us to offer a variety of coverage options at competitive rates.
